Assistant Grounds Person at St Mary's College

37 hours per week 8:00am - 4:00pm (all year round)

Salary: Grade 3 Points 3-5 (hourly rate: £9.79 - £10.19)

St Mary’s College are looking to appoint an Assistant Grounds Person to join our Site Staff Team in September 2022, the post is 37 hours per week, but flexibility is essential as hours of work can change to accommodate inclement weather.

The successful candidate must have a full clean driving licence to be able to drive a triple cylinder mower. Experience of grounds/gardens work is desirable; for the successful candidate full training on the job will be given (and will be ongoing, ultimately leading to nationally recognised qualifications). You will be directly line managed by a fully skilled/qualified, knowledgeable and experienced Grounds Person.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following aspects of grounds care and maintenance (this list of duties are non-exhaustive:

Grass cutting (using pedestrian and ride on mowers) and strimming, hedge cutting, tree work (crown lifting, felling and planting), field work including installation and maintenance of football, rugby and athletics tracks, litter picking and weed control, use and maintenance of hand and power tools and general tidying of pathways and roads within the premises.

We are seeking to appoint two motivated, flexible and friendly Finance Assistants to join our growing team and provide varied financial and administrative support for the Trust.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can work on their own initiative, as well as work successfully as part of a team. Successful candidates should demonstrate excellent organisational skills in planning and managing your work, as well as excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experience of Sage 200 and Paperless is preferred, but not essential (as training will be given).

St Cuthbert’s RC Academy Trust are looking are looking to appoint 3 Minibus Drivers to join our Trust in September 2022, 10 hours per week plus a casual basis for hours as and when required. The successful candidate will require a D1 category driving license.

As a Minibus Driver, you will operate the minibus routes, transporting children between specified collection points and ensuring their safe delivery to and from St Thomas More Academy. This is an exciting time to join our Trust as we are expanding from September 2022. You will always be accompanied by a bus escort.
