St Mary’s College is a proud and special place. Judged outstanding by OFSTED, outcomes have remained well above national averages at KS4 and KS5 for many years. In fact outcomes have consistently improved year on year. We are one of just two Lead World Class schools in the UK. We have just been awarded Teaching School Hub status which is a huge opportunity to work with a wide range of partners to help improve standards for children across the region. With an unrivalled local and regional reputation, St Mary’s College is an 11-19 Academy serving over 2300 students including almost 700 in the sixth form, making it the largest Catholic school in the country and the fifth largest in all. It is part of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust within the Diocese of Middlesbrough. The staff and students of the College are quite remarkable. Levels of collaboration and partnership working are profound and humbling. Welcoming and inclusive of all, the College is simply a great place to work and a great team to be part of.
We are looking for exceptional individuals to lead at Vice Principal level as part of our phased expansion and new responsibilities. Up to 4 to 5 posts are available; responsibilities will be negotiated with the successful candidates and the team. One post will take particular responsibility for deputising in the absence of the Principal and therefore will be a post reserved for a practising Catholic. This is a fantastic career opportunity to join an outstanding team, school and Trust.
Please contact Mr Ged Fitzpatrick (Chief Executive Officer and Executive Principal) or Mrs Nicola Marrow (Strategic Trust Human Resources Manager) if you would like to discuss the post further.
